I’ve been sports betting all my life. Ever since kid pitch baseball when I was the catcher I would bet balls and strikes with the umpire. I’d always win. How you ask? Well, if you call it first you win. If he or she called it different, obvi0usly they were wrong.
I think there needs to be more betting in Vegas. I mean, there are only so many lines I can bet, over-under, spread, pick’em, parlay, apples to apples, oranges over grapes, everything. So how comes we don’t bet on people running. Think about it, it’s the most pure form of betting. You don’t have to worry about all the variables of a team, playing field (everyone runs the same race), or rest time between events. You are betting on individuals and you have all the purest data available, race times. Race times are available for every runner. It takes some basic calculations and you can determine who will win or place.
Think about it too, you can bet on them like horses. You bet to place, to finish, or to get a personal PR. There are so many more ways to bet on runners than any other sport I don’t see, why not?
